Here is the nomination we received for Kennedy Lane in week five:

Helped lead her team to the Tonya Wells Christmas Classic championship. Had 24 and 19 in her first two games.

While we do not share nominating email addresses, what I really loved about this nomination was that it actually came from another student-athlete at a completely different school. I think that really speaks to the kind of player (and person) that Lane is. She is a player you have to respect and you never have to question her effort or heart. In her first year at Daviess County, she has helped lead them to an 8-5 record with nearly every loss coming to a top team. Lane is averaging a team-high 17.5 PPG along with 3.1 RPG. She’s averaging 2.2 3-pointers made per game while shooting 37.7% from the perimeter. Only a sophomore, expect to hear Kennedy Lane’s name a lot over these next 3 years!
