Rise Up 606 Player of the Week
Sponsored by Community Trust Bank:
Kenleigh Woods
Each week throughout this season, Rise Up will feature a Player of the Week from each of the 4 main area codes across the state. We just wrapped up the second week of the season and the votes are in!! Read below about Kenleigh Woods, the 606 Player of the Week for this week.

You tend to see players put up big numbers against weaker talent, but Woods showed it doesn’t matter who the opponent is as she dropped 39 points on one of the top teams in the state. While her team ultimately fell short, the junior finished with a very impressive stat line: 39 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 6-for-6 at the free throw line, and shot 72% from the field. In Ashland’s next game, they blew out the team they were playing, so Woods was limited to only 13 minutes. What did she do in that short period of time? Scored 16 points, dished out 5 assists, grabbed 5 steals, secured 4 rebounds, and had 8 deflections. Oh, and she also had zero turnovers. Woods needs to be talked about by everyone no matter where you reside in the state because she has truly proven herself on the court, standing out amongst some of the top talent in Kentucky.
Woods received 58.5% of the votes to win the 606 poll.
