Each week throughout this season, Rise Up will feature a Player of the Week from each of the 4 main area codes across the state. We just wrapped up the seventh week of the season and the votes are in!! Read below about Kendall Augsback, the 859 Player of the Week for this week.

Get used to hearing the name Kendall Augsback because the 8th grader continues to show she has a very promising future on the basketball court. She was nominated for her performance versus Fleming County where she finished with 15 points, 2 assists, and a steal. She went 5-for-8 (62.5%) from the field, including 2-for-4 from 3. Campbell County is 12-4 and has a solid core of sophomores who have been leading them in scoring this season, along with some upperclassmen. Augsback may be younger and still in middle school, but she has shown an ability to contribute in big ways. She’s gotten more and more comfortable playing up at the Varsity level as the season has gone on and she’s really starting to come into her own. Expect to see many more double figure scoring performances from Augsback in the future!
