Rise Up Sports Player of the Week:
Jaycee Noffsinger

Noffsinger is a sophomore at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School. She has helped her team start the season with a 13-6 record and she is their leading rebounder on the season. She is the kind of player that will do whatever it takes to help her team win, even if that means doing all of the hard stuff. She is currently averaging 8.6 PPG and 7.6 RPG for the Lady Maroons.
Noffsinger is a true 2-way player who is going to make an impact on both ends of the floor. She plays hard and you never have to question her intensity. She can lock up players defensively and then she can score inside or out offensively. Noffsinger has an excellent shot and good range on her shot that allows her to be a big threat on the perimeter. She runs the floor and uses her high IQ to make plays for herself and her teammates.
She was nominated this week because of her outstanding performance versus Muhlenberg County last Friday. She finished the game with 23 points and 12 rebounds, but she also took a very important charge with 2 seconds remaining in double overtime that sealed the deal as her team won the game 56-54. Noffsinger missed half of last season as she was waiting for the KHSAA to clear her per transfer rules, but she’s still scored nearly 500 points and has grabbed over 400 boards. Seeing that she’s only a sophomore, expect her to continue making waves on the court throughout the remainder of her high school career.
Congratulations to the Rise Up Sports Blog Player of the Week for Week 8, Jaycee Noffsinger!!
