Each week throughout this season, Rise Up will feature a Player of the Week from each of the 4 main area codes across the state. We just wrapped up the third week of the season and the votes are in!! Read below about Kinleigh Martin, the 606 Player of the Week for this week.

I would say even one double-double would make for a great week, but Martin took that a step further and finished week 3 with two double-doubles. When her team played Wolfe County, she finished with 31 points and 11 rebounds. She also went 13-for-16 (81.2%) from the field in the win. She followed that up by putting up 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the Ladycats very next game versus Floyd Central. Martin’s team is currently 7-2 and she is averaging 13.9 PPG and 5.6 RPG. She is shooting a team-best 58% overall and is 2-for-2 from 3 on the season. Only a sophomore, Martin is just getting started and showing how much she truly brings to the court, so expect to hear her name more and more as this season goes on and beyond!
