Run 4 Roses is one of the largest girl’s basketball tournaments around. It brings in thousands of teams from the US and beyond. We walked around the 80+ courts at the Kentucky Expo Center for six days taking note of players who stood out to us. When we say stand out, we really mean someone who caught our eye for one reason or another. That may be a team’s best player or it may be a player whose effort made it impossible for us to not notice them. Below you can read about some of those players that stood out to us throughout the event.

Great floater game in the paint. Nice moves to get a step on defenders. Kept the ball low and hard for the defense to get to.

Abigail Casper

Good size. Nice passes out of the post and in general. Showed good versatility with the ability to score and make stuff happen inside or outside the perimeter. Grabbed a ton of rebounds. Ran the floor very well.

Christie Chicoye

Very calm and composed with the ball in her hands. Made some smart plays throughout the game to help her team maintain possession or get open looks. Can knock down the 3-ball.

Great court vision and made some really nice passes. Applied good pressure defensively and quick, active hands allowed her to come up with multiple steals.

Hadley French

Can score in bunches and quickly. Deep range on outside shot. Moves well without the ball. Made nice passes.

Violet Hall

Indy Magic 17U E40 | Class of 2026
Feel like she’s made big improvements to her overall game every time I’ve seen her play. Can finish well around the rim. Good physicality. Does all the little things that require a lot of effort but don’t always show up on the stat sheet.

Jasmine Perry

2025 ATC Academy Australia | Class of 2026
True floor general. Is calm and collected when playing. Elite ball handling skills. A nice floater that she utilizes a lot after getting the defenders off balance. Good court vision allows her to create plays most can’t. Aggressive approach to defense, always knows where the ball is.
-ETHAN GRANTZ

Katherine Rubel

2026 MO Phenom StL Bell | Class of 2026
Lefty has a really good outside shot but affects the game in a lot of ways beyond shooting. Versatile on both ends. Good drives and floaters. Aggressive defense. Rebounded well.

Anna Skog

2025 Spain Elite Team 1 | Class of 2026
Good size. Nice touch around the basket. Saw the floor and made some good passes. Grabbed rebounds over smaller players without fouling. Got some good blocks and recognized when to step over to block shots in help defense.

Anna Tinelli

Kentucky Premier 16U EYBL | Class of 2026
High energy and motor on both ends of the court. Quick handles and can weave through traffic. Nice passes up the floor and showed ability to score inside or outside the perimeter.

Annalisa Wuckel

2025 Smooth Handles | Class of 2026
Lefty competed hard. Handled the ball well. Made a nice shot off the dribble with defender on her hip. Had some nice passes in half court when being trapped. Communicated well on defense.
