Each week throughout this season, Rise Up will feature a Player of the Week from each of the 4 main area codes across the state. We just wrapped up the sixth week of the season and the votes are in!! Read below about Gracie-Jo Wilder, the 606 Player of the Week for this week.

Wilder hit a huge milestone in week six, scoring her 2,000th career point! She also helped lead her team to punch their ticket back to the 2A state tournament as Bell County won their sectional. In their first sectional game of the week, Wilder dropped 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She shot 50% from the field in the 56-42 victory. The very next night, she had a game-high 29 points after shooting 11-for-19 (57.9%) from the field in the section 7 championship. She also hit five 3-pointers and shot 45.5% from the perimeter. The Tusculum University WBB commit is averaging 24.4 PPG and 6.1 RPG throughout her team’s first 14 games. The Lady Cats currently hold a 10-4 record and will be looking to make some noise at the 2A state championships. Watch out for Wilder as she continues to build on her already impressive high school resume!
