The Run 4 Roses Classic and Championship took place in Louisville on July 10-15, 2025. This is a live period event that brought in nearly 3,000 teams and over 2,000 college coaches. Throughout the tournament, as I was walking around to different courts, I took notes of players that stood out to me. Below you can see some of the 2027 players that caught my eye. These are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

Maya Custard

2027 Lexington Crossover La Familia

Very solid throughout both games I saw. Effective fakes to get the defense off their feet. Outside shot was looking good.

Alexis Finchum

2027 Kentuckiana Select E40

Electric point guard play. Good shooter and also can put the ball on the floor and make good stuff happen whether that’s scoring or creating.

Layla Flynn

2027 Lexington Crossover La Familia

Finished strong on both sides of the rim but legit facilitator. Contributes in so many different ways. Did a great job getting into passing lanes for steals. Aggressive on the boards.

Alexis Hammock

Kentucky Premier 16 EYBL

Very solid ball handler who changes speeds well and did a great job facilitating the offense. Can get into the lane and distribute or pull up. Tough & aggressive defender.

Cecily Houston

Next Level 16U 3SSB

High basketball IQ – was making the smart play every time she touched the ball. Very solid on both ends of the court. Ran the floor well consistently.

Sara Jenkins

2026 Lady Aces NE2K

Haleigh Kass

2027 Indiana Sirens Wilson NE2K

Lefty is a true 3 level scoring threat who also did a great job making plays for teammates. Handled the ball well and made great reads.

Laila Kelley

2027 Arctic Rush NE2K

Aggressive going after the ball (defensively, for rebounds, etc). Excellent playmaker – draws help, sees the court and delivers great passes. Always a threat to score the ball as well.

Maryann Kenyon

2027 Phee Elite Olufson E40

One of the most impressive shot-blocking performances I saw. Got multiple in a single possession at one point and timed blocks so well. Great passing and was scoring nice buckets through defenders & knocking down outside shots. Great length for a PG.
