Run 4 Roses is one of the largest girl’s basketball tournaments around. It brings in thousands of teams from the US and beyond. We walked around the 80+ courts at the Kentucky Expo Center for six days taking note of players who stood out to us. When we say stand out, we really mean someone who caught our eye for one reason or another. That may be a team’s best player or it may be a player whose effort made it impossible for us to not notice them. Below you can read about some of those players that stood out to us throughout the event.

Please note: Some of the write-ups below were already featured on X (@riseupsports1) during the event. Please let us know if any of the information below is incorrect and we will get it fixed as soon as possible.

Heaven Bailey

Such a high IQ player. Sees the floor and can deliver passes perfectly, including full court passes and passes through traffic. Great recognition of when to change speeds. Strong handles. Can come up with a lot of steals defensively. Has all the skills you would want from your PG.

Gracyn Barnes

2027 Bay State Jaguars UAA | Class of 2027
Good floor general skills. Keeps head up and on a swivel. Quick handles and didn’t let pressure affect her. Great variety of moves. Moves well without the ball and made nice crisp cuts. Low stance defensively and good job keeping the ball in front of her.

Jaylen Cauthron

Team Trae Young 15U 3SSB | Class of 2027
Hard to defend on drives because of her ability to stop and pop & finish in tough ways. Can elevate over defenders to get shots off. Facilitated well when running PG, but also played very well off the ball. Catches ready to fire and can knock down 3’s quickly.

Kimora Hinton

Boo Williams 15U EYBL | Class of 2027
Very active defensively. Constantly moving her feet and looking to get her hands on the ball. Can come down and make you pay if you don’t pick her up from the perimeter. Can also knock down shots inside the perimeter or get to the rim. Quick moves. Drew help and delivered some nice passes.

Tootie Jordan

Sports City Angels 16U EYBL | Class of 2027
Good facilitator and playmaker. Very unselfish but definitely has the ability to score at all 3 levels & can create off the bounce. Crafty handles. High basketball IQ.

Very tough overall. High IQ. Great use of fakes to get defenders off their feet. Strong finishes including through contact and over defenders. Just constantly making good stuff happen on both ends of the court.

Very smart player who constantly makes stuff happen offensively. Great job running the point but can also play off the ball. High court vision and can thread the needle perfectly through defenders. Strong with the ball and strong in general.

Excellent court vision and ability to think a pass ahead. Created so well for teammates and was able to get angles to complete passes through traffic. Good shot. Smart player overall.

Kyleigh Stakelin

2026 Richmond Heat Frith | Class of 2027
Always love getting to watch Stakelin play because she competes from start to finish & contributes in every way imaginable. Very versatile skill set that allows her to play and guard multiple positions. Great rebounder, tenacious defender, can score at all 3 levels.
