The Run 4 Roses Classic and Championship took place in Louisville on July 10-15, 2025. This is a live period event that brought in nearly 3,000 teams and over 2,000 college coaches. Throughout the tournament, as I was walking around to different courts, I took notes of players that stood out to me. Below you can see some of the 2028 players that caught my eye. These are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

Brenley Adler

Kentucky Premier 16U E40

Great hustle plays. Not afraid of physicality. Consistent scoring threat from inside/out and recognized when help stepped over and made some nice passes. Finished through contact.

Dakhari Blankumsee

Next Level 17U 3SSB

Super quick and shifty with the ball. Made some great passes. Nice finishes around the basket. Nice change of speeds to create space from defenders. Special talent.

Olivia Coburn

2027 Lexington Crossover La Familia

Great length. Showed good touch around the basket. Grabbed multiple rebounds. Came up big in the final minutes/OT with a jump ball, block, free throw, and 3.

Riley Gilvin

2028 D.E. Elite

Taylor Hawthorne

Kentucky Premier 15U E40

Hawthorne can really impact the game in a positive way. Has good size. Runs the court well. Made some really smart defensive plays that led to opponent turnovers. Crashed the boards and was strong on the boards. Showed good touch around the basket.

Brianna Jarquin

2028 G Nation Suns Blue E40

Made some really nice passes and created well for teammates. Strong court vision. Got crafty on drives and got into passing lanes defensively.

Jai Johnson

Next Level 16U 3SSB

Strong ball handler. Showed good strength on drives and the ability to finish through contact. Can knock down the 3-ball too.

Kendall Kearney

2027 Lexington Crossover La Familia

Great pull-up jumpers and felt like she got to the rim at-will at times. Quick handles. Made some nice hustle plays.
