Meet The Team

Carley Boyd (Class of 2027 | G/F | 5’11”)

• Notes: Boyd is a versatile player that can be an effective scorer inside or out. Uses her length to block/alter shots defensively and to finish at the rim offensively. Got playing time on a talented Russell team last season and is poised to be a major factor for Raceland in her freshman season.

Ava Hale (Class of 2026 | G | 5’6”)

• Notes: Varsity starter and major contributor in her freshman season. Led her team in steals and is constantly putting in extra work to make herself better. Can knock down shots from deep range but can also score inside.

Elaine Purvis (Class of 2027 | PG | 5’7”)

• Notes: As an 8^th grader, was the 3^rd leading scorer on a talented Montgomery County team. Earned a spot on the 10^th Region All-Tournament Team and was named 10^th Region Coaches Association Honorable Mention as well. Can put the ball in the basket inside or out and is an excellent passer. Also, a strong defender that can come up with a lot of steals.

Loralee Orazen (Class of 2027 | G | 5’5”)

• Free Throw Percentage: No attempts.
• Notes: Orazen got some playing time for a Varsity team that has a lot of talented guards on their roster. Really solid skillset and can finish with contact around the basket. Moves very well without the ball. Good outside shooter as well.

Baylee Warner (Class of 2027 | W/F | 5’10”)

• Notes: Warner has the length and footwork to be extremely effective around the basket, but she impacts the game in many ways. Strong defender that can protect the rim and come up with steals. While she has many moves in the post, she can also stretch out and knock down shots with good range. Good feel for the game overall.

Karlea Stanley (Class of 2028 | CG | 5’6”)

• Notes: Stanley was Belfry’s leading scorer as a 7^th grader. She is a 3 level scorer who can create space off the dribble. She only needs a tiny bit of space to get her shot off as she can knock down shots with a hand in her face. Makes a lot of strong drives to the hoop also. Good ball handler and active defender.

Kaylee Mills (Class of 2026 | G | 5’6”)

• Notes: Mills was a starter on a very talented Highlands team. She has very active hands defensively and can be very disruptive to the opposing teams offense. Strong ball handler. Can get to the rim or knock down the three. Does a good job of kicking when help defense steps over. Can push the pace in transition.

Sadie Johnson (Class of 2027 | F/C | 5’11”)

• Notes: Johnson was her team’s second leading scorer and rebounder as an 8^th grader. She’s got all the height and length you would want in the post. Also has great footwork down low. Can finish through contact and isn’t afraid of physicality. Finishes in a variety of ways around the basket. Actively working on growing and expanding her game so that she can stretch the defense out to the perimeter.
