McCurry’s Strong Start to the Season
Charlotte McCurry is only in the eighth grade but certainly doesn’t play like it. Playing up at the Varsity level, McCurry averaged 12.5 PPG and 5.7 RPG as a seventh grader. While maintaining that kind of stats would have been impressive in itself, she has taken it to another level this season, nearly doubling her scoring average and increasing her rebounding to start this season.
82 Points Scored in 5 Days
McCurry’s nominations included three games that happened in a 5-day stretch. On December 10th, she tallied 27 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists vs Elizabethtown. Two days later, McCurry followed that up with a double-double, finishing with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block vs Central Hardin. McCurry then hit a new career-high and grabbed one of the most impressive stat lines you’ll find this season: 37 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists, and 1 block vs Thomas Nelson.
