Tiffany “Tip” Hayes is another addition to the Unrivaled league that has flown under the radar. The Fort Polk, Louisiana born star originates from a military family that instilled a strong work ethic and discipline in her. This directly translated to her on-court performance at an early age as she would lead Winter Haven High School to two state championships. From high school and onward she not only proved that she was a force to be reckoned with on the floor, but that she was and is a true competitor and winner.

In 2008, Hayes would attend the powerhouse of UConn to play for legendary coach Geno Auriemma. During her tenure at UConn, she was part of one of the most dominant stretches in women’s college basketball history. Hayes served as an instrumental piece in propelling the Huskies to two more NCAA championships in 2009 and 2010. Throughout her college career, she averaged 11.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. Her contributions earned her All-Big East honors and a reputation as one of the nation’s most dynamic guards. Hayes finished her college career with 1,801 points, ranking among the top scorers in UConn’s storied history.

In 2012, Hayes would be selected by the Atlanta Dream in the second round of the WNBA Draft. Even though she fell to the second round, she quickly established herself as a key role-player for the Dream. Tiffany Hayes is so versatile on both ends of the floor as she’s a consistent scorer and solid defender. Hayes earned her first All-Star selection in 2017, and since then has consistently been amongst the team’s top scorers throughout her career. In 2018, she was named to the All-WNBA Second Team after averaging 17.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game after leading the Dream to the WNBA semifinals. Her career stats include averages of 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game across multiple seasons. Hayes finished this 2024 season with 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists for the Las Vegas Aces after coming out of retirement. Even though that was quite below her usual averages, she can still get it done at a high level on any level.

Hayes will bring her aggressive attitude and slashing play style to Unrivaled. She has great speed and athleticism to get to the basket and score which is the perfect complement to any teammates that she’s paired with for this competition. The rest of the league must respect her as a tough perimeter defender that can match with any guard, so her services on any team will be effective and appreciated.
