Run 4 Roses is one of the largest girl’s basketball tournaments around. It brings in thousands of teams from the US and beyond. We walked around the 80+ courts at the Kentucky Expo Center for six days taking note of players who stood out to us. When we say stand out, we really mean someone who caught our eye for one reason or another. That may be a team’s best player or it may be a player whose effort made it impossible for us to not notice them. Below you can read about some of those players that stood out to us throughout the event.

Ella Buckman

2028 Kentucky Premier JR EYBL | Class of 2028
Consistent ability to score at all 3 levels and in a variety of ways – makes it tough on the defense to figure out the best way to defend her. Handled the ball well. Good change of speeds.

Kerrington Campbell

2027 Team Griffin LB E40 | Class of 2028
Quick release shooter. Tenacious defensively. Good speed. Nice handles and made some tough passes.

Kennedi Gaines

2026 FBC Alaska | Class of 2028
Very quick and did a great job facilitating the offense. Low handles and nice court vision allowed her to handle pressure and make nice passes to teammates. Uses quick feet and hands defensively to make things very difficult on the offense including coming up with steals.

Harmony Jenkins-Foster

2026 FBC Alaska | Class of 2028
Was extremely surprised to look at the roster and see she was a 2028 because she definitely plays with poise and maturity. Made some great drives to get into the paint and to the rim. Good recognition of where teammates were running in transition. Handled the ball well.

LiLi Mangrum

Kentucky Premier 15U EYBL | Class of 2028
Did a great job attacking the paint and made good moves to score the ball. Really good shooter with range. Has a ton of potential but definitely showing she’s one of the best 2028’s in Kentucky and beyond.

Sophia Milosh

2029 Wisconsin Shooters Puma NXT | Class of 2029
Great size. Strong on the boards. Consistently made herself open to teammates and gave them a good target to throw it up to if they were in trouble. Good passes to teammates. Physical. Good job being strong on post ups.

Macee Pruitt

2027 Team Griffin LB E40 | Class of 2028
Quick. Good reads on both ends of the court. Did a great job drawing the defense in and creating for teammates. Shifty and had some crafty finishes around the basket.

Arianna Robinson

Pro Skills 16U EYBL | Class of 2028
Plays with a lot of energy and is very quick to get up and down the court. Makes heads up plays on defense, rattles the offense. Very aggressive on the drive and can get downhill. Elite passer with the ability to get creative on the offensive end.
-ETHAN GRANTZ

Natalia Silva

2027 ME Firecrackers | Class of 2028
Was making a huge impact on both sides of the ball. There was a stretch where she made a layup, got a steal, and nailed a 3 on three straight possessions. Nice ball handling skills & quick moves.

Hannah Simmon

2029 Indiana Prospects | Class of 2029
Smart plays with the ball. Quick release on outside shot and has good range. Also can score inside the perimeter. Can play on or off the ball effectively. Applied good pressure defensively. Got her hands on a lot of balls in the passing lanes. Saw the floor and made strong passes. Forced the defense to question if she was going to score or kick on drives.

Lucy Troutman

2029 Indiana Prospects | Class of 2029
Great job on the offensive boards just outworking everyone to be the first one to the ball. Stayed straight up defensively. Can score inside or out.

Jordyn Woods

2029 Wisconsin Shooters Puma NXT | Class of 2029
Great defense. Uses length to make things very difficult. Can elevate to grab rebounds but also does a good job getting a body on someone when the shot goes up. Showed some nice touch around the basket.
