The National Championship brought a ton of talented teams to Kentucky to compete for the last live period of July. We walked around the 50 courts at the Kentucky Expo Center throughout the tournament taking note of players who stood out to us. Now when we say stand out, we mean a player who caught our eye for one reason or another. While that may be a team’s best player, it also could simply be a player whose effort made it impossible for us to not notice them. Below you can read about some of those players that stood out to us throughout the event.

Please note: Some of the write-ups below were already featured on X (@riseupsports1) during the event. Please let us know if any of the information below is incorrect and we will get it fixed as soon as possible.

Meg Hamilton

2025 Indy Magic Scott E40 | Class of 2025
A high motor, moves well without the ball. A good off ball defender. Doesn’t give up and gives 100% effort every play. Has the ability to run a fast pace offense, while having good court vision. Has a good jump shot but can also take it to the paint and finish through contact or get to the line at a high rate.

Knockdown shooter and can hit from anywhere on the court. Gets shot off in a variety of ways – off the dribble, catch, cuts, etc. Strong on drives and can finish with contact.

Grace Bale

2025 Richmond Heat Campbell | Class of 2025
Nice job attacking the basket while also showing off her strong outside shooting. Has a knack for drawing fouls. Excellent free throw shooter. Smooth and stays collected, even in clutch moments. Dropped 27 points to help her team come back and win the game.

Sierra Ramrattan

2025 Kia Nurse Regional Black | Class of 2025
Very quick and shifty with the ball. Great use of fakes to get the defense to shift & can score or distribute well. Nice outside shot. Nice variety of moves.

Tyanna Horsman

Floor general. Makes the right reads, has good vision. Very aggressive player, will fight for every ball. Has a good jumper but is not afraid to drive to the basket. Good on ball defender, always knows where the ball is at. Very intelligent basketball player that likes to play with a sense of urgency.

Electra Lovely-Tolbert

Reigning Red 2025 | Class of 2025
Very reliable PG. High IQ plays and constantly looks to create for teammates. Recognizes the open player when help D steps over. Saw the floor well. Great quick moves to get a step on defenders. Good floaters and finishes at the rim on drives. Can knock down the outside shot consistently.

A'Nieja Russell

Louisville Legends 17U | Class of 2025
Team leader. She seems to do it all for the Legends. She’s the energy on defense and the commander of their offense. Very aggressive in the paint and blocks a lot of shots. She’s aggressive on the drive and can pull up from just about anywhere. Her presence is definitely felt the whole game.

Raeann Nix

2025 Louisville Lady Aces | Class of 2025
Knocking down outside shots. Didn’t need much room to get her shot off and knocked them down off the dribble. Also made strong drives to the basket and finished some tough shots at the rim. Good shot fakes to get defense to jump.

Jade Hamilton-Gill

Mac Irvin Fire Select 17U | Class of 2025
A force down low. Feed her in the post and just get out of the way. The duo of Jade and Claire makes it practically impossible for any opposing team to enter the paint. A menace on defense. Has good vision, and can step out and control the offense if needed. An overall very talented forward that can play on both sides of the floor.

Zanasia Marshall

ProSkills Houston 17U National | Class of 2025
Very energetic. Has a nice jump shot. Likes to shoot off the dribble. Is always on the move making it very difficult for the defender to stay with her. Able to get her teammates involved as well. Don’t underestimate her because of her size, she’s got real grit.
-ETHAN GRANTZ

Aniyah Carter

2025 LGR McBride E40 | Class of 2025
Always plays so fearless. Attacks gaps very well and can get crafty on finishes around the rim. Can make some great passes even with traffic. Really smart PG play overall.
